Hubby Hints!Welcome to this fun new webpage designed to help us husbands become even better at our jobs than we already are! As you can see this page has gone up the day before VALENTINES DAY! (That is tomorrow for those of you who haven’t heard yet!) Anyway, it appears that like most of us men, the webpage went up at the last minute before the major event. I know shame on me. But now I am really ahead for next year! (in the therapy word that is called reframing. I am sooo good at that, drives my wife crazy !)
The purpose of this blog is to help each other in our roles. We will have discussions, insights, suggestions for all the types of issues we husbands seem to struggle with. It should be lots of fun. To start with let’s begin with Valentine ’s Day. Some of us will do the traditional flower and chocolate gift for tomorrow, which is a good thing. The question you need to ask before you go that direction is: Is your wife the traditional type? Maybe she is more of a music type or romantic dinner and dance (though I admit trying to find a dance floor that is not necessarily in a bar type setting is difficult), maybe she is a reader and loves books. I carry in my wallet a card that has my wife’s dress, pants, and blouse sizes, favorite colors, ring sizes etc. That has come in very handy through the years. The point is, you get hubby points for remembering Valentine’s Day, but if you want the big points, go beyond tradition. Do something different.Let’s hear what you are going to do. It's down to the wire. Valentines day is coming up fast. Help all of us Hubby's out by sharing your valentines hints, ideas or stories here. We could all use a good idea for this Valentines day.
